I like the pen and ink work because it challenges me to create drawings that convey emotion and personality so the viewers are can create a story about each piece. They work on two different levels. On one level these are portraits drawn from photos people have sent me from all over the world. One another level, the pen and inks are like a Bach fugue. The lines are the notes and the dark and light shapes are the chords.
